The local Salvation Army has launched their annual Bell Ringing campaign. To ring a bell, visit: www.registertoring.com This is a hands-on approach for volunteering as a family, with friends or work groups! This year they are in dire need of bell ringers.
Adopt-a-Family program: This year, the Salvation Army is excited to be partnering with The Youth Closet and Toy Chest to serve families most in need in our community by offering gift cards. This change will empower parents to select clothing and toys for their own children based on their needs and allowing them the ownership and the joy of giving. It is also a win-win for both organizations. This improvement will also correct some of the many challenges and limitations our staff, the adoptive, and adopted families experienced with the old process. The Toy Cabin event for families in need will be this Saturday, Dec. 13th, from 9:00 to 4:00 at the Trinity Church in Edwards. At this event, Parents pick toys for their children. Children are not allowed to attend, and Parents must sign up prior HERE. The last day to sign up will be this Wednesday.
They also need volunteers for 2 hours on Sundays to rescue food from Costco. Sign up for Costco Rescue
