Another ski area is opening in Colorado today. Keystone Resort will open 2 miles of snow off the Montezuma Express lift. 9am the lifts start running.
Loveland, Breck and Copper will all open in the next 10-days.
New Drought Monitor is out. Vast improvement in Colorado. Most of southern Colorado and especially southwest Colorado are now completely drought free. Some noticeable improvements on the western slope and eastern plains. No county is fully in the worst level of drought now. Eagle, Lake and Summit Counties continue to be the worst in the state with mostly D4 or Exceptional Drought. Much of southern Colorado has had about 250-300% of normal precip in the last 60-days. In the Northern Front Range, 25-90%. SnoTel levels – in the Upper Colorado Basin, 52% this morning. In the Upper Rio Grande, 368% with more on the way this weekend.
In Gypsum, water restrictions have now been lifted.
A major storm is forecast for some parts of Colorado this weekend. C-DOT is closing Independence Pass preemptively tomorrow morning. If it reopens this winter will depend on how much snow they get.

Battle Mountain soccer traveled to Durango and got their first post-season win of the season, 3-2 the final. The Huskies will travel to play Kent Denver next Wednesday. Kent Denver knocked off Montrose yesterday, 6-1.
