A Denver man who admitted to investigators that he started a six-acre fire in Frisco by the Whole Foods earlier this year has pleaded guilty and was sentenced yesterday. 24-year old Peyton Lloyd was given a differed sentence. The fire did not burn any structures but did torch that willows area just west of Whole Foods along I-70.
Today is Colorado Gives Day. The 16th annual. The program encourages people to “give where you live”. This year, Colorado Gives Day will have an incentive fund worth more than $1 million provided by the Colorado Gives Foundation, FirstBank and other community members. Since 2010, Coloradans have raised over half a billion dollars, including $54.8 million in 2024.

Jamal Murray was named the NBA’s Player of the Week for last week. That’s the first time for Jamal. He is the 19th different player in Nuggets history. Last week, Murray averaged 29.8 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 7.5 assists per game while shooting 59.5% from the field, leading Denver to a 3-1 record.
