Clerk & Recorder’s offices closed for non-election services on Election Day, Nov. 5
Eagle County Clerk & Recorder’s offices in Avon, Eagle, and El Jebel will be closed for motor vehicle, recording, and liquor license transactions on Nov. 5 to allow all staff to assist with the General Election. All online motor vehicle services will still be available on Nov. 5 at www.colorado.gov/dmv. Recording services are also available online.
The Eagle and El Jebel Clerk & Recorder locations have been open for voter services since Oct. 21. The Avon Vote Center is located in the Town of Avon Municipal building at 100 Mikaela Way and is also open. The Vail vote center is located at the Grand View Room atop the Lionshead parking structure and will be open starting Oct. 30. Full vote center locations and hours of operation can be found at www.eaglecounty.us/vote.
Voters are reminded that under Colorado law, “electioneering” or campaigning is prohibited from taking place either inside a polling place or within 100 feet of any building in which a polling location is located. In addition, electioneering is prohibited within 100 feet of a dropbox. Voters may not advocate for the election or defeat of a candidate or a ballot measure either inside a polling place or within 100 feet of the entrance to a polling place or dropbox. While inside a polling place, voters may not wear pins, t-shirts, hats, or other apparel that displays the name, likeness, party, or slogan of any candidate who is on the ballot or bearing the number, title, subject, or logo of a ballot issue or question that is on the ballot.
Election results will be posted online on Nov. 5 at www.eaglecounty.us and on X (formerly known as Twitter) at www.twitter.com/ECClerk.
