Each year, KZYR has asked for donations of a Ton of Turkeys for the local food pantries for the holiday food baskets for families in need. A ton is 2000 lbs. Historically, we’ve gathered frozen birds and stacked up thousands of pounds of them. We still do that. We’ve also made it easy for people to “give us the bird” virtually. You can buy a virtual bird online. 100% of the proceeds goes to the local Community Market and Vail Valley Salvation Army.
Encore Electric helps with the turkey drive as well. As such, they donate to the cause which goes entirely to the local food pantries.
Even with the Ton of Turkeys, it’s still not enough. In good times and bad times, there are always people in need (even in this affluent place we all call home).
So, feel free to give us the bird (or birds) in person at our studios in the Riverwalk in Edwards. 275 Main, Unit 201. Or give us the virtual bird. The turkey drive goes through November 22nd.
