‘We have been hosting events in this special little place for the past four years and this year, we teamed up with some awesome partners to provide a series of great block parties to kick off everyone’s weekend,” said True Local Events’ president Tom Dobrez. “Bring your dancing shoes and prepare yourself for good times and tunes riverside with friends and family alike.,“ added Dobrez.
The series kicks off on July 28th with doors opening at 4:30pm and the fun lasting until 8:00pm. Guests are encouraged to bring blankets and delectable delights will be on sale courtesy of The Bookworm and One Love Jerk Chicken. Kids are welcome, but dogs will need to stay curled up at home as they are not allowed inside the fenced area. Vail Valley’s The Sessh will be the backbone of all three Friday events and will be celebrating the release of Spin their brand new CD recently released. Future shows will include extremely special guests Joey Porter of The Motet (Aug 11) and Eddie Roberts of The New Master Sounds (Aug 25).
The Vail Valley’s newest venue will also be showing off a brand new roof added to the stage this year bringing a touch of elegance to an already serene setting. “Living in this valley and being humbled by the opportunity to care for families for over 20 years has opened my mind and my heart to music and community, and the beautiful gathering that comes to fruition when the two coincide,” states Chris Davis, President of Alpine Insurance Agency, and Ed Rocks Event Founder. In addition to the the food and funk offerings, guests can learn about virtual reality from one of the Riverwalk’s newest businesses Space while enjoying a Dark and Stormys or perhaps a delicious brew from Crazy Mountain Brewery.
“We look at this event as a block party but you don’t have to bring a thing. We’ll set everything up, you just need to bring their families and get ready for some funk,” added Dobrez. Dobrez went on to that the sponsors who made the event possible including Rhize Tech, Alpine Insurance Agency, KZYR And The Mile, Bloch And Chapleau J&J Cleaning, Vail Valley Pharmacy, Visiting Angels, Harker Neumaier, Slifer Designs and American Family Insurance.
